CodeStriker Noob Questions

Carlo Camerino
Hi Everyone,

I'm evaluating a code review software tool for company.

Having gone from several other alternatives, we still haven't found
the one we need.

one of the things that we need is for the developers to be able to
upload files for review.
This files may not necesarrily come from a code repository but may
come from just plain files.

If  I can upload a file for review,

Can I upload a bulk file(zip file) for example to be listed for code
review as well.

Last is,

Do you have support for mercurial as our company already has changed
our repository from subversion to mercurial in future projects.

Thanks A lot!

Carlo

You can do this - just upload the file itself when you create the topic.

This isn't supported (yet), and probably wouldn't be that hard,
however for now you can concatenate several files together using the
"cat" command and upload that one file.

Supporting zip/tar would be better, since you'd get distinct file
entries.  Feel free to create a feature request for this.

What most users do is they add their new files using their SCM system,
then when they run the diff command, it creates a single file, with
each file in its own section.

Adding a new repository type is actually pretty easy.  I am happy to
do this if you give me a hand.  I don't use mercurial myself, but I'd
be keen to support it.

Cheers,
David
